Reducing disorder has beena prime challenge for these experiments becausedisorder can mimic the zero-energy signatures ofMajoranas, and renders the topological prop-erties inaccessible. Here, we show character-istic Majorana signatures in InSb nanowire de-vices exhibiting clear ballistic transport proper-ties. Application of a magnetic field and spatialcontrol of carrier density using local gates gen-erates a zero bias peak that is rigid over a largeregion in the parameter space of chemical poten-tial, Zeeman energy, and tunnel barrier potential. The reduction of disorder allows us to resolve sep-arate regions in the parameter space with andwithout a zero bias peak, indicating topologicallydistinct phases. These observations are consistentwith the Majorana theory in a ballistic system, and exclude for the first time the known alter-native explanations that invoke disorderor a nonuniform chemical potential %G English %L hal-01712989 %U https://hal.laas.fr/hal-01712989 %~ UNIV-TLSE2 %~ UNIV-TLSE3 %~ CNRS %~ INSA-TOULOUSE %~ LAAS %~ UT1-CAPITOLE %~ LAAS-MPN %~ LAAS-MICRO-NANO-BIO-TECHNOLOGIES %~ INSA-GROUPE %~ TOULOUSE-INP %~ UNIV-UT3 %~ UT3-INP %~ UT3-TOULOUSEINP
