In this paper, we address the problem of failure detection in assembly lines modeled as Timed Event Graphs (TEG). The proposed method represents TEGs as (max,+)-linear systems with time intervals and aims at detecting time shift failures in the underlying assembly lines. To do so, we propose the
definition of a set of indicators relying on the residuation theory on (max,+) linear systems that handle certain and uncertain observable outputs
