Wideband Vector Antenna with Additional Radiation Pattern Diversity for 3-D Direction Finding

Résumé

In this communication, direction finding performances of a wideband vector antenna are improved by taking advantage of its radiation pattern reconfigurability. A method is proposed to select the additional radiation pattern diversity that provides an accurate estimation of the direction of arrival of an incident electromagnetic field over a wider frequency bandwidth.
