Design and Characterization of a Compact Rectenna for Structural Health Monitoring Applications
Résumé
This paper addresses the design and characterization of a compact rectenna for structural health monitoring applications. The size of a rectenna is only 66 cm 2 , of that is, 0.057 of square wavelength at the operating frequency (868 MHz). By adding a small metallic reflector plate (15 x 9 cm 2 ) positioned at 5 cm behind the rectenna, a dc power greater than 100μW (dc voltage greater than 1V) can be harvested from illuminating radiofrequency power densities greater than 0.78μW/cm 2 .
