Interval Observer-Based Active Fault Tolerant Control for an Intensified Heat Exchanger/Reactor
Résumé
The intensified heat exchanger/reactor systems, which combine the heat transfer and chemical reactions in one unit, became very popular and interesting in the chemical engineering field. However, to ensure the safety and maintain the performance of these systems, supervision, diagnosis, and fault tolerant control are highly demanded. In this paper, a fault tolerant control system, based on a bank of interval observers with a backstepping-based control law, is employed in a new intensified heat exchanger/reactor, in order to detect, isolate and recover all possible dynamic faults.
